imagine......

File:D H Lawrence passport photograph.jpgThis is D. H. LAWRENCE. Imagine him to be your teacher. What subject do you think he could have taught best?

  1. Well, I have only read one poem of D.H.Lawrence. The poem I read was 'Last Lesson of the Afternoon'. While I was reading the poem, I found many new words in almost every line. I also noticed that he used analogy in the poem. Figures of speech like alliteration and metaphor were also used. In all, the usage of English was very good. If I had got the chance to learn from him and he had got the chance to teach me, the best subject would have been English Literature.

    1. We can print photographs of the poets and authors about which we have already read. Like D.H.Lawrence, Charles Dickens, Jerome Klapka Jerome,William Wordsworth etc. Then we can show the pictures and names in a random order and tell the students to guess which photo is of which personality. It will be fun and interesting as well. And we can get to know more about the personality's we don't know till date.

    2. That's great idea !
So how about starting the game dear Deepti?
Choose an author, paste the pic and throw the challenge open.

I am sure our smart students will accept the challenge !

      Waiting for your post !

    3. I REALLY BELIEVE IN THE FACT THAT WHEN WE DO THINGS PRACTICALLY WE UNDERSTAND THEM BETTER.WE CAN FORM A STORY WITH THE THOUGHTS OF THE POET,DEPICTED IN THE POEM AND PRESENT THEM IN THE FORM OF A PLAY.THIS WILL MAKE US UNDERSTAND THE POEM BETTER AND INCREASE OUR VOCABULARY AS WELL.

  6. yashita sachdeva: a poem contributing to the mothers of the world:
    Incarnation of love and care,
    She's comparable to none.
    She's that part in us,
    Which can never be apart.
    She's our past,present and future,
    Ideas , inspirations and culture.
    The more we know her,
    And love makes us utter,
    She's all our own,
    Our dear "MOTHER"
I had read this poem from a book named "MAA" , the book touched my heart.
I just wanted to convey that mothers are special , treat them as
    special.

LAWRENCE.I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE HIM AS MY LITERATURE TEACHER,IF I COULD HAVE GOT A CHANCE.

  8. After reading this poem I have come to know that if students are not interested in learning, how difficult is for the teachers to teach those students who are not interested in learning.
I hope that this situation will never occur in our class.
I also think that our teachers never feel as D.H Lawrence and they have a fun in teaching ahlcoknights.
    Am I RIGHT?

a man lives on the tenth floor of a building.everyday he goes to office. he uses lift only on rainy days but on the other days he uses the stairs. why?
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .

    .
because the man's height is short and he is not able to reach the buttons but on the rainy days he could use his umbrella to press the buttons.

  12. in order to actually know DH Lawrence and how deep he went into human emotions one needs to read "FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD".

it's a lovely novel by said writer..

  14. D.H. LAWRENCE WROTE THIS POEM TO EXPRESS HIS FEELINGS AS A TEACHER AND I THINK THIS WAS BECAUSE HE WAS NOT A TEACHER BY HIS OWN CHOICE BUT HERE A PROVERB IS WELL APPLIED THAT YOU CAN NOT HAVE A RAINBOW WITHOUT A LITTLE RAIN. SO HE CAN'T HAVE FREEDOM FROM THIS PERIOD WITHOUT A LITTLE PAIN.I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO ASK HIM WHAT WAS HE DOING IN HIS SCHOOL'S LAST PERIOD? DID HE FELT THE SAME WAY AS HIS STUDENTS OR WAS HE REALLY LISTENING TO HIS TEACHERS? IF NO THEN HE CAN'T BLAME CHILDREN AS HE KNOWS HOW IT FEELS!!

  15. HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY TO ALL. I HAVE WRITTEN FOUR LINES ON FRIEND-

IF YOU ARE A DIAMOND THEN YOU ARE THE BRIGHTEST,
IF YOU ARE GOD THEN I AM MOST BLESSED,
BUT BETTER THAN ALL THESE YOU ARE A GREAT FRIEND,
AND THAT IS WHY YOU ARE THE BEST.

  16. A POEM DEDICATED TO MY BFF ON FRIENDSHIP DAY

EVERYONE SUHOULD GET A FRIEND LIKE YOU
BUT SUCH FORTUNATE PEOPLE ARE VERY FEW
IN MY LIFE YOU PLAY A SPECIAL ROLE OF BEST FRIEND
AND SHARING EVERYTHING WITH YOU HAS BECOME A TREND
WITH YOU I DO SO MUCH OF FUN
AND YOU HAVE LIGHTEN MY LIFE JUST AS A SUN
EVERYONE SHOULD GET A FRIEND LIKE YOU
BUT SUCH FORTUNATE PEOPLE ARE VERY FEW
YOU HAVE TAUGHT ME HOW TO LIVE THE LIFE
AND CUT ALL THE DIFFICULTIES FROM LIFE JUST AS A KNIFE
EVERYONE SHOULD GET A FRIEND LIKE YOU
BUT SUCH FORTUNATE PEOPLE ARE VERY FEW
I WILL NEVER FORGET THE SWEET FIGHT
WHICH YOU AND I DID ON SMALL THINGS LIKE KITE
BUT AFTER EVERY FIGHT YOU TAUGHT ME A NEW LESSON AND MAKE MY LIFE SO BRIGHT
EVERYONE SHOULD GET A FRIEND LIKE YOU
BUT SUCH FORTUNATE PEOPLE ARE VERY FEW
I HAVE GOT AWARDS A LOT
BUT NEVER A AWARD LIKE YOU I GOT
I WOULD JUST SAY YOU ARE THE BEST
AND MAKE MY EVERYDAY JUST AS A FEST
EVERY ONE SHOULD GET A FRIEND LIKE YOU
BUT SUCH FORTUNATE PEOPLE ARE VERY FEW
I WILL NEVER FORGET OUR SPECIAL TALK
AND YOUR MEMORIES WILL ALWAYS WALK
    IN MY MIND
    AND ALWAYS FIND YOU
EVERYONE SHOULD GET A FRIEND LIKE YOU
BUT SUCH FORTUNATE PEOPLE ARE VERY FEW

    Bhagat sing the fearless king,
When all were in fear and they scream
'he was ready to help' this fact is evergreen
He was an afflict for all british,
    Who were the real critics.
He was repose for every Indian,
    whether adults or children.
    He was not acquise ,
The efforts he put for our country's freedom is a prize.
He was adamant for country's sake,
His ideas were good as a clear stream of lake.
He was always assure about the unpure(bad morality people).
At the last would like to sing,
Singh was ,is and will be the king

  20. Work is worship
Hillary Clinton says ,”there are many kids who don’t know the real meaning of work . they only think work as a four letter word.”
For me work is the magic wand that is behind all the success, all progress, development and changes that occur over time. Work is the efforts which we put for our success. I believe that work is the yeast which rises the dough. David ply says that” striving for success without doing work is just like waiting for harvest without planting trees.” and “ it is easy to dodge the works but not its consequences.” If we’ll not dohard work then our all dreams will fall into the same abyss. So we should do hard work as hard work is the key to success. But what is worship? Worship is the devotion for the supreme power. But i don’t believe that the supreme power lies in only god’s photos and statues. I believe that the god is everywhere. We can also find the god in our work which we do. If we do our work with the depth of truth and with the purity and enthusiasm by which we do worship then we’ll surely get desired fruit of our work. I believe to taste the nectar of life we have to do our work as worship.
As swami vivekanand said that “work as worship is very important to lift up the veil of illusion and bondage.” I too believe that. Our school motto teaches global perspectives of Indian values. That means whole world is ours and all religions are ours. But not a single religion teaches us that true worship is only in praying to god in temples. Let it be bhagvad gita , bibal or kuraan , everywhere one teaching is written that work is the true worship. Like rather than pouring milk on lord shiva if we give that milk to a poor child then that one glass of milk will not be futile and can also save someone’s life. And our this benevolent work will truly give us the fruit and blessings of god and many people.
In a student’s life the major work is studies and gaining knowledge. So for us our school is the temple of knowledge and our studies is the worship to god. So we should do our worship with all the sincerity , determination and enthusiasm. And if we do our work as worship then we’ll be able to make our mark in society and we’ll come out as flying colours.
As mahatma Gandhi said that live as if you were to die tomorrow and learn as if to live forever so we should grasp as much of knowledge from the sea of knowledge and utilise it in serving for others as our school logo says. Then it will be the true worship of god and lord will be on top of the world after seeing this .
Time flies like an arrow so we should not waste it. And we should change our point of view towards worship and should start finding our god in our work. We should believe in work is worship. As Gandhi also said that be the change that you wish to see in the world. and a thousand miles journey begin with one step so start today. The long and short of the matter is believe in work is worship.

  21. POEM- YOUTH
THE TIME WHEN GIRLS GO SHOPPING AND BOYS WEAR SUIT[FORMAL DRESS ,COAT AND PANT]

    WHY PEOPLE KILL GIRLS ?
THEY MUST KNOW THEY ARE LIKE PEARLS

    WHY THERE IS CORRUPTION ?
WHY GOVERNMENT ACTS AS A MACHINE OF MONEY CONSUMPTION?

    WHY THERE IS NO SYSTEM?
    WHY PEOPLE SHOW OTHERS CRITICISM

    WHY ARE PEOPLE HARASSED?
WHY THERE IS CHILD LABOR AND CHILD MARRIAGE ?

WHY FROM FEAR THE IDEAS ARE CLOSED IN A ROOM?
WHY WOMEN ARE ALWAYS DESCRIBED AS AN ICON WITH A BROOM?

I HAVE RAISED THESE QUESTIONS FOR ALL

FOR YEARS THE ANSWER OF THESE WERE KNOWN
BUT WHY ALWAYS EXCEPT OF ANY ACTION SYMPATHY WAS SHOWN

BUT NOW WE YOUTH WILL DO SOMETHING
TO CHANGE THIS SYSTEM WHICH IS GOOD FOR NOTHING

A SINGLE YOUTH CAN ALSO TURN THIS COUNTRY OVER A NEW LEAF BUT THERE IS SOMETHING WE CALL A TEAM
    LET ALL TOGETHER MAKE THIS COUNTRY A PLACE TO STAY WITH GAY{HAPPINESS}
